Heather Green, LMFT

Heather Green is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) with a Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology from Antioch University Santa Barbara. She has been practicing since 2015 and brings both clinical expertise and lived experience as a lifelong member of the LGBTQ+ community to her work.

Heather offers therapy that is warm, grounded, and deeply affirming. She works with adults who often feel out of place in traditional systems, supporting people navigating identity exploration, alternative relationship structures, body image and weight stigma, perfectionism, codependent patterns, and the lingering effects of trauma. Her focus is helping clients move out of survival-based coping and into greater self-trust, flexibility, and authentic connection.

Her approach is collaborative, relational, and integrative. Heather draws from Humanistic and Existential therapy, Psychodynamic therapy, Internal Family Systems (IFS), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), tailoring therapy to each person rather than applying a one-size-fits-all model. She currently provides in-person therapy, supporting adults with anxiety, life transitions, relationship and work stress, and identity-related challenges—particularly within the context of living in a predominantly cisgender, heteronormative, patriarchal, and white culture.
