Our Team
I am passionate about helping clients who identify outside social norms in terms of:
relationship styles (monogamish,consensual non-monogamy,polyamorous,Lifestyle,etc), OR
gender identity (mtf,ftm,non-binary,queer,fluid,intersex,questioning,etc), OR sexuality
(lesbian,gay,bi,pan,omni,eco,questioning,etc).
I strongly believe in supporting a client’s self-determination not only in co-creating the plan for
treatment, but empowering them to find what will bring joy, contentment, and meaning to their
lives. I have an eclectic approach and have experience using modalities such as Client-Centered
Humanistic, Existential, EMDR Therapy, Solution-Focused, Psychodynamic, and Cognitive
Behavioral Therapy (CBT).
I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist who received my Master’s Degree in Clinical
Psychology from Antioch University of Santa Barbara and Bachelor’s Degree in Business from
California State University, Channel Islands. In 2015, I began practicing therapy with clients.
The first population I served in 2015-16 were people struggling with homelessness and often
co-occurring disorders who were living at The Salvation Army, Hospitality House. I have
experience working with other populations including couples and individuals facing depression,
anxiety and bipolar disorder. During my time working at Casa Serena’s Treatment Programs in
2017-19, I provided individual and group therapy to women who experienced domestic violence,
PTSD, emotional, physical, or sexual trauma. By helping them gain life skills to overcome their
substance abuse/addictions, mental health challenges, and boundary issues, they were
empowered to integrate back within society to reach their familial and vocational or educational
goals. At New Beginnings Counseling Center in 2018-20, I worked with clients who struggle
with relationship challenges, codependency, life transitions, communication, self-care,
spirituality and mood disorders. Additionally during 2020, I conducted comprehensive
assessments for PathPoint’s case management clients who struggle with severe mental illness.
Currently, I am providing telehealth therapy in my Private Practice to clients with life struggles
including symptoms of anxiety and depression in part from living as a minority with alternative
gender identity, sexuality, and relationship styles within a predominantly cis-gendered
heteronormative patriarchal society.
