Denise Jaimes-Villanueva, Licensed Clinical Psychologist

I am a bicultural and bilingual psychologist working with children, adolescents, couples and
families. I have a number of specialties that I am passionate about including: working with the
Latinx community, often incorporating cultural concepts into treatment as a way to heal and
grow. These concepts include, connecting to our traditions and values, as well as learning how
intergenerational trauma and ancestral wisdom impact us; supporting those that have suffered
from childhood trauma and domestic violence; and working with young children and their
caregivers to increase attachment.

Soy psicóloga bicultural y bilingüe trabajando con niños, adolescentes, parejas y familias. Tengo
varias especialidades que me apasionan, como: trabajar con la comunidad latinx, incorporando
conceptos culturales en el tratamiento como una forma de sanar y crecer. Estos conceptos
incluyen conectarse con nuestras tradiciones y valores, aprender cómo nos impactan los traumas
intergeneracionales y la sabiduría ancestral; apoyando a aquellos que han sufrido traumas
infantiles y violencia doméstica; y trabajar con niños pequeños y sus cuidadores para aumentar el
apego.
